Native Women's Association of Canada Announcement (NWAC): Empowering Aboriginal youth as leaders

NWAC has launched a National Youth Volunteer Circle. This Circle will provide a venue for young people to volunteer in various NWAC activities including research, fundraising, project delivery and advisory committees.

This appears to be an excellent initiative to support building capacity of young Aboriginal people in Canada. I look forward to hearing more about it in the future...Cheers! Sheila

Indigenous Women in Community Leadership Program

I thought I would share this information with you on a new program offering that is directed at supporting the development of Indigenous Women's Leadership capacity.

The Coady International Institute is offering an "Indigenous Women in Community Leadership program." This is a new program to be offered at St. Francis Xavier University to support First Nations, Métis and Inuit women in strengthening and building their communities. It appears that scholarships may be available to attend. Follow the link below for more information.
